There was big news this week in the world of digital government in Canada, with the Prime Minister announcing the creation of Digital Transformation Canada. This was of obvious interest to me professionally, but also on a more personal level as part of the announcement was that the Canadian Digital Service team (which I was very proud to have helped bring to life almost a decade ago now) would be absorbed into this new organization.
I ended up putting pen to virtual paper and wrote a fairly extensive analysis of this announcement, how it fits into the recent history of digital government in Canada, and some key questions I’m keeping an eye on.
